Company overview

Our goal is to develop Micro Systems (actuators or sensors) to improve the performance of industrial systems involving Fluid Mechanics and also create new kind of applications which could not be achieved without micro-systems.

Flowdit’s major breakthroughs

Technological innovations
We developed innovative solutions to improve the efficiency of MEMS based on electrostatic forces. It allows unique performances for Micro-Systems like displacements of mobile elements up to +/-400µm.

Improved manufacturing processes
We optimized the fabrication process to improve the reliability and robustness of the MEMS (reduced fabrication steps and full SOI systems).

Conception and fabrication of MEMS actuators
We designed and tested a pulsed micro-jet for flow control.
We could reach high jet velocities and high frequencies.

We also developed and manufactured a specific MEMS actuator containing 3 micro-jets on a single system. A set of devices has been integrated in the roof of the last Citroën concept-car “C-SportLounge”,unveiled in the International Motor Show Cars in Frankfurt (12 sept.2005).
For more information, we invite you to visit the Citroën Web site, www.citroen.com, in the folder “Concept Car”, then in the folder “C-SportLounge” .
